Our family absolutely adored this Pear Bread. We are huge aficionados of banana bread – my Banana Bread Recipe consistently receives rave reviews – but this Pear Bread quickly earned a spot as a new, undeniable favorite. Pear Bread
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup fresh pears peeled cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and eggs. Beat well until thoroughly combined and slightly fluffy. Stir in the chopped pears, pecans, and vanilla extract.

In a separate medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pear mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter; a few lumps are fine.

Pour the batter evenly into your prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before carefully removing it and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
